Report a Lost or Stolen Card

It is very important that you report a lost or stolen ATM or Visa® debit card as quickly as possible. Fraud can take place in a matter of seconds and you bank account could be drained before you ever notice your card is missing.

At Herrin Security Bank we feel it is important that you know which steps to take if your card has been lost or stolen.

Instructions:

  1. Make sure your card has actually been lost or stolen. Many times people endure the inconvenience of cancelling their card only to find it later. Make sure you look in your car, purse, wallet and all your pockets. Try to remember where you last used your card.
  2. Log on to your free Herrin Security Bank online banking account or call our free telephone banking at (618) 942-8353 (618-942-TELE) to view your account for any unauthorized usage. 
  3. Call Herrin Security Bank at (618) 942-3151 during normal business hours to report your card lost or stolen and to check for any recent purchases or other fraudulent activity associated with you card.
  4. To report a lost or stolen card outside of regular business hours call 1-800-554-8969 and follows the instructions.

Once you have reported your card lost or stolen, Herrin Security Bank will cancel your existing card. A replacement card will be delivered to your home in 7 to 10 business days.
